Bringing together key players involved in European Social Dialogue covering European metal industries
as well as EU Commission representatives from DG Industry and Enterprise and DG Employment this
meeting focuses on major issues connected to those industries at present and in the future: training
and education, skills and jobs, Europe2020, cooperation among stakeholders and developments in
national metal industries.
During the Plenary two joint statements have been adopted together with corresponding compilations of
national examples from the ad hoc Working Groups on ‘Competitiveness & Employment in a Globalised
Economy’ and ‘Education and Training’ respectively.
