CEEMET welcomes the decision of the European Commission to postpone the deadline of the implementation to national law of the Electromagnetic Fields Directive

 

CEEMET is pleased that the European Commission intends to propose a further postponement of the deadline for transposition of Directive 2004/40/EC on protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to electromagnetic fields at work.  This postponement is important since many questions still remain open in the current Directive proposal. EMF experts from several sector associations have been invited by CEEMET to cooperate in view of clarifying technical issues in the EMF proposal and come up with further recommendations when it comes to the Directive's text.
