Mr. Martin Kannegiesser - CEEMET President 2011-2012

Martin Kannegiesser was born 1941 in Poznan. He joined his parents’ engineering plant, which was founded in 1948, while he was still a student in Cologne. After his graduation in business administration and economics in 1966, he became Sales Manager in the family company. After the death of his father in 1974 he became owner of the Herbert KANNEGIESSER GmbH, today the acknowledged world leader in industrial laundry and fusing machinery.

In 1975, he was appointed as Chairman of the local Metalwork Employers Confederation in Herford, involving Board membership of METALLNRW. After being President and chief negotiator for METALLNRW since 1996, he was nominated as Vice-president of Gesamtmetall in 1997. In 2000, Martin Kannegiesser became President of Gesamtmetall, the Federation of the German Metal- and Electrical Engineering Industry.
