Pilliard

Jean-François Pilliard

Director General of Union des Industries et Métiers de la Métallurgie, UIMM.

Jean-François Pilliard started his career in the pharmaceutical company Roussel-Uclaf, before joining, in 1979, the aerospace and IT supplier Sfena as Human Resources Director and Secretary of the Board. Mr. Pilliard then joined Ciba France, in 1988, as Human Resources and Communication Director. In 1997, he moved on to Schneider Electric S.A. as Director General for Strategic Human Resources and Organisation, where he was also member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Pilliard joined UIMM in 2008 and was nominated, in January 2010, as President of the “Social Protection” Committee of the largest employers union in France, MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France).

He was elected in January 2010 as co-chair of the European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the metal industry, created by CEEMET & the EMF, European Metalworkers’ Federation.

He has been chairing the CEEMET Steering Committee from June 2011.
