The TCWG builds on the work of Ceemet's EU-UK Future Relationship Working Group. The TCWG's focus lies on areas of mutual interest for the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based (MET) industries, including issues related to the operation of the Single Market, EU labour market, labour mobility, freedom of movement, skills, trade and tariffs.

1. Creating added value by investigating the issues and challenges which affect third countries to the EU and limiting any adverse impact on the MET sector; 

2. Exchanging information on third country issues among member federations of Ceemet; 

3. Preserving and fostering, wherever reasonably and realistically possible, the current relationships between the EU and its third countries where Ceemet has a member federation; 

4. Promoting a consistent future regulatory environment between the EU and its third countries where Ceemet has a member federation; 

5. Supporting and coordinating, as appropriate and possible, all Ceemet members in lobbying stakeholders during any negotiations with the EU on their third country relationships; 

6. Providing a single, consistent voice to articulate the MET sector’s needs within the EU institutions.
