Ceemet appoints new Director General

Ceemet – European Tech & Industry Employers is pleased to announce the appointment of Delphine Rudelli as its new Director General.

Mrs Rudelli succeeds Uwe Combüchen, who chooses a new career path after having led for more than two decades the association that represents the metal, engineering and technology-based industries in Europe.

Mrs Rudelli, a French national, joins Ceemet from UIMM, the French employer’s organisation for the metal and technology based industries, where she headed the European and international affairs department. As its Director she represented UIMM on a European level via various working groups and statutory bodies of Ceemet. On an international level, Mrs Rudelli is part of the delegation of the French cross sector employers organisation MEDEF for the International Labour Conference.

Ceemet’s Chairman of the Board of Director, Oliver Zander, comments the news by stating:

“The appointment of Delphine is a choice for vast experience. With her background she will hit the ground running within a second. This is of utmost importance at a time where COVID-19 is impacting our sector so tremendously. It is reassuring to have someone at the helm who knows the industry, Ceemet and the political environment like the back of her own hand.”

He contiuned by saying that “on behalf of the Ceemet members, I would like to thank Uwe for having led Ceemet’s transformation into the recognised European employers’ voice and the acknowledged social partner organisation for our industries.”

Delphine Rudelli, who holds Master’s degrees in public law, European labour law, read political sciences and graduated from the Institute for Political Science of Paris, says: “This is a crucial moment to step in. We are discussing the recovery of industry and how it could be a sustainable one. I am looking forward to play my part and provide options to policy makers that help the industry, not just to recover, but to find its place on a global competitive level.”
