Industry needs skilled and motivated people
Due to a skills gap, there are currently unfilled vacancies in Metal, Engineering and Technology-based companies (MET) across Europe. To improve competitiveness and help more people find jobs we need support for excellent vocational education and training and higher education that reflects company requirements and attracts more students. We also have to work for better guidance and greater mobility for students, apprentices, teachers and young professionals.
Mission and Objectives:
Ceemet's Education, Training and Employability Committee’s objective is to provide a forum for education and training experts in the MET industry to identify and discuss current issues facing companies. The committee aims at producing coherent and coordinated positions and advice focused on equipping our current and future workforce with the skills to compete in the global marketplace.
Recent and Current Agenda Topics:
Improving two-way communication between industry and education providers
