- Ceemet would like to underline that it if companies are to maintain and increase their competitiveness it is essential that they are able to adapt quickly to change, including being able to carry out restructuring swiftly when a need for this arises.
- This is particularly true for companies in the MET sector which compete on a global market. The sectoral Social Partners Ceemet and EMF have jointly concluded in their joint statement to the Commission regarding the Communication on “Industrial Policy for the globalization era”, that companies in the European MET sector must be equipped to meet the challenge of international competition and the need to cope with ever faster technological and organizational changes, and to see these changes as opportunities.
